Well it’s been a while since I posted about my recently watched anime and you guys already know the reason. Right, anime can be long but this was a short anime of just 22 episodes and 1 OVA. The anime revolves around a high school boy who wants to live a plain high school life with no other activities joining a club, being in a relationship, participating in activities, etc.

Houtarou Oreki

Oreki Houtarou, a high school student who opts for a gray high school life unlike a pink colored high school life. His motto is ” I don’t do what I don’t want to do. If I want to do then I make it quick”. He emphasis on living an energy conservative life free from all those energy consuming activities. But his grey colored life changed after his sister insisted him to join the Classic Club as he didn’t had anything else to do. He had no problem with that as he thought that he was the only member since the club was on the verge of extinction.

Chitanda Eru

But to his utmost surprise he met a girl named Chitanda Eru who is a curious girl and her this curiosity is what troubles Oreki the most. Every time she would say her famous line ‘I am curious’ and Oreki knows that when she says that he is in trouble. This is so because he is good with solving mysteries and had also solved quite a few hard ones. And whenever Chitanda ask him to solve a mystery, he can’t say no as she will keep on emphasizing until and unless she gets her answer. She is really a trouble for someone like Oreki who wants to conserve his energy.

Satoshi Fukube

Next is Oreki’s child hood friend Satoshi Fukube and Mayaka Ibara who know each other from middle school. They also decided to join the Classics Club. Satoshi is already a member of two other clubs, the Sewing club and Executive committee.

Mayaka Ibara

Mayaka is also a part of other club Manga Society and she also has library duty. But still both of them come to Classics club room whenever called or in free time, mainly after school.

Sure this much work can’t be handled by our dear Houtarou but still the way he solves exciting mysteries in the anime is really interesting and worth watching. The thing I loved about this anime was that it showed growth of all the characters and not just the protagonist. The mysteries have been well developed and each and every detailing has been taken care of. The anime contains small stress reliving scenes to some overwhelming exciting scenes. In short the anime will make your day at the end.

If you have not watched Hyouka till now then just watch it now. You will seriously love it! Do comment below if you have already watched it or even if you just want to say something. Thanks for reading!
